KFC faces pressure after McDonald's says no antibiotics in chicken

 KFC, the world's largest chain of fried chicken restaurants, may face pressure from consumer and environmental groups to change how its poultry are raised after McDonald's Corp said it would switch to chicken raised without human antibiotics.

Man killed by 30 elephants in Kenya


                      

A 61-year-old man from Wamura village, Laikipia Central, was on Sunday night killed by elephants. Residents barred police officers from collecting the body of Nyaga Wachira who was heading home from the shopping centre at 8pm.

McDonald's is to begin reducing the use of antibiotics in its chicken products.

McDonalds's says it will focus on removing those antibiotics that can have an impact on human health, but keep those necessary for poultry welfare.
