A 61-year-old man from Wamura
village, Laikipia Central, was on Sunday night killed by elephants. Residents
barred police officers from collecting the body of Nyaga Wachira who was
heading home from the shopping centre at 8pm.
He was trampled on by a herd of 30 jumbos. Neighbour Kagure Githinji said residents have been complaining for a long time and they need to be assured of their safety.
