An Australian scientist said a lake that has been found to
have been untouched for thousands of years is like "God's bathtub."
Researchers
from the University of Adelaide say they discovered that Blue Lake, which is
east of Brisbane, has been in the same chemical state for 7,000 years,
according to Australia's Today Online. The bucolic lake has not been affected
by climate change, according to scientists.
The university's research team discovered the lake's unique
properties by accident while studying climate change in the area and tested the
lake's water, fossil pollen and algae.
Dr. Cameron Barr, one of the team's scientists, told the
Australian Associated Press that the lake is "absolutely beautiful."
